“Husk” explores the power of un-masking as we seek belonging for ourselves within our personal and public communities. The serenity that comes from truly being “one’s self” is closely partnered with fear that this revelation of self will cause unwanted scrutiny, criticism, and scorn. The tension between wanting calm, combined with anticipatory dread, means that “belonging” can trigger inclusion and exclusion.

“On View” questions how one’s perception of self, colors our understanding of others. Whether we view others through a strong lens of prejudice or simply through our own inability to get beyond our self-centered prison of ideas and beliefs, “On View” conveys the disquieting landscape in which self and other co-habitat.
